MICRODERMABRASION

Price: $1,575      Course duration: 2 weeks

Microdermabrasion, also known as microderm, is one of the easiest and the most effective, non-invasive skin resurfacing processes available. It is used as an anti-aging treatment since it softens fine lines and wrinkles, helps to smooth coarsely textured skin, decreases the appearance of scaring, results in smaller pore size and reduced superficial hyper-pigmentation also known as age spots. The goal of microdermabrasion treatment is to provide the best possible results with the least possible damage or risk to the skin.

Microdermabrasion helps for high-tech skin care products to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin and build collagen, which gives skin its youthful appearance. Imagine a very fine sand blaster and you’ll get a picture of how microdermabrasion works. It uses micro particles, or a diamond tipped wand to slough off the top layer of epidermis and stimulate new skin growth. The technique also helps to thicken collagen, which results in a younger looking skin. Including this procedure in your practice will result in significant additional revenue stream and expanding client base. In our MICODERMABRASION Course estheticians will learn the proper way to evaluate client’s skin and see what type of microdermabrasion treatments will work best and how to adjust the degree of treatment to both the client’s specific skin problems and the type of skin she/he has.

Benefits

This course provides an expert advice on the whole procedure including overview of microdermabrasion, how it is used to resurface the skin, creating a new outermost layer; how it can help lessen hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, aging lines and other surface imperfections, features to look for in a machine, how to calculate your cost per treatment, and hours of hands-on practice.

THE SCIENCE OF ACNE

According to the recent polls, a growing percentage of Americans ages 15 to 44 suffer from severe acne, with over 34% in men and 27% in women. Contrary to what we are lead to believe, acne is not just a concern for adolescents, and the market reflects that. With the acne market over eight times greater than the entirety of cosmetic laser treatments, and dermatologists in ever-increasing demand, it is imperative for primary care physicians to act now and sign up for this program.

Are you considering becoming an acne expert? Be ready to have long relationship with clients that requires close communication and guidance with managing Acne Skin Condition. In most cases acne is an inherited condition of the pores that needs a systematic approach. The logical first step is to see a dermatologist for treating a significant acne condition. Unfortunately, most dermatologist resort to long-term antibiotic use. When the antibiotics are failing, they usually prescribe retinoid creams and then Accutane (isotretinoin). Fortunately, estheticians can be highly successful treating even the most difficult acne cases, clearing them in 3-4 months. The key is combating the skin’s ability to adapt to products. None of the topical products will get and clean the skin unless it is periodically adjusted during first serval weeks. The skin adapts to the products and stops responding. It is very important to adjust clients home care every two weeks – not with new product, but with increasing the potency and frequency...

CHEMICAL PEEL

Offering Chemical Peels is a natural progression for your facial clientele. Chemical Peels are an amazing, results driven service every esthetician should be able to perform. Chemical Peels push the skin to regenerate itself, revealing fresher more youthful looking skin.

Improvements that your clients would see include visibly softer skin, reduction in acne or discolorations and improvements in the skins texture and tone. The result is smooth, radiant, glowing skin.

About Chemical Peels

Chemical peels provide great non-invasive skin exfoliation and skin rejuvenation with results that retexture, smooth and brighten the skin. Rough or dry patches can be resurfaced and uneven pigmentation spots can be reduced. The look of fine lines and wrinkles can be improved as cell turnovers are increased and damaged skin cells are shed. Various concentrations and combinations of peel solutions also prove to be effective for the improvement of mild acne by stripping away plugs of keratin, oil, and dirt that often lead to outbreaks.
